We work closely with you, your child and their team to provide personalised care.
We provide services for private, NDIS, Medicare and Private Health funded clients of all ages, with specific experience in paediatrics.

Hello, my name is Caitlin McConnell, and
I am a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist
and Director of Building Blocks Allied Health.
I have a Bachelor of Health Sciences from the
University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Speech
Pathology from Southern Cross University.

I am passionate about building upon the
individual’s communication and feeding
foundations to support each person to thrive.

I believe in giving parents and caregivers
the tools, skills and knowledge to support
their children on their journey to improved
communication and feeding.

Do you offer mobile service?

Yes, we come to you to provide assessment and therapy in a comfortable, familiar environment, be it at home, school, preschool or other agreed locations.

What areas do you cover?

Our mobile service covers the Northern Rivers of New South Wales, including Lismore, Ballina, Alstonville, and Woodburn. We also offer telehealth consultation for clients outside of these areas.

Do you offer telehealth consultations?

Yes, we can provide assessments and selected therapies via telehealth where appropriate.

What age groups do you service?

We service clients of all ages and have wide-ranging experience working with paediatric clients.

Do you service NDIS clients?

Yes, we can service clients with NDIS plans who are plan managed or self-managed.

Do I need a referral?

If you are wanting to claim Medicare rebates, then you will need a referral from your GP. Private and NDIS clients do not require a referral. If you have further questions, please call Caitlin on 0493 955 805.

What qualifications do you have?

Bachelor of Health Science. Bachelor of Speech Pathology. Further training in literacy, feeding, language, regulation, play and alternative communications.

How long is each session?

Each session is usually one hour but can vary depending on the individual’s needs. Please send us an enquiry so we can tailor services to your requirements.

Do you have HICAPS?

No, we do not have HICAPS. You will be required to pay for each session in full and then claim this back through your private health fund.
